Because burning fat can be a very frustrating process. Especially if you don’t have the right information to make sure you get results for all the hard work you do.

All too often people who decide to go on a fat burning workout program go overboard and jump right in to severe calorie restriction and/or hours and hours of (the wrong kind of) exercise. 7 days a week, too.

When they don’t see big results immediately from all this “sacrifice” they give up and quit out of frustration. It’s back on the slacker couch looking for that one episode of all those boring Law and Order shows they haven’t seen over the past twenty years!

Or maybe it’s CSI. Wait, aren’t there a lot of NCIS shows now, too?

Anyway, the point is, make sure you don’t become couch boy! Or girl!

There’s a lot of information out there and it’s easy to get confused or overwhelmed, which can keep you from doing anything at all.

If you really want to maximize your fat burning, you NEED intervals, complexes and the best circuit training workouts you can find as part of your cutting edge fat loss program!

This training is hard, but it’s brief. You can easily complete a workout in about 15 or 20 minutes. Sometimes a lot less, too!

Throw in some sprints from time to time and you’ll be shredded in no time! Your clothes may fall off! Be sure and check that before you head out in public. Talk about embarrassing!

Back to sprinting, okay?

For example, you might sprint for 100 yards and then walk for 50 yards. Then repeat 5 to 10 times.

Depending on your conditioning you may have to start with much less than this and without going all out. If you aren’t doing any cardio at all, you should start with a month or two of regular cardio to build a base of conditioning.

Another great thing about high intensity interval training is the endless number of short workouts you can put together.

When you combine sprinting, bodyweight exercises, MMA moves and the use of a simple dumbbell or kettlebell, you can come up with a LOT of cool programs.

Another big plus is the work you give your abs. When you incorporate exercises like alternate knees, hip bridges, side hops, squat thrusts, mountain climbers, spiderman push ups, burpees and more, you won’t need to do boring, endless, ineffective crunches for your abs.

MOVE YOUR BODY!

That is the key to the best circuit training workouts in terms of effectiveness and efficiency. Don’t go into the gym and sit at a machine! You sit all day! You don’t need to sit still and do some lateral raises and then sit still and do the pec deck, then sit still for some concentration curls, leg extensions, etc.

No, no no! Forget that nonsense!

Try something like this instead:

Exercise / Reps

    Kettlebell Snatch – 10/10 (10 per arm)
    Kettlebell Goblet Squat – 10
    Bear Crawl – 20 yds
Hand to Hand Kettlebell Swings – 10
    Shuttle Run – 5 yards (6 times = 30 total yds)

Rest when needed and perform as many rounds as possible (AMRAP) in 12 minutes.

You can adjust this to fit your own conditioning levels. You could do a set number of rounds, such as two or four with a rest period of 1 or 2 minutes between rounds. You could also have rests between exercises, such as 10 to 30 seconds.

Over time, work up to the 12 minute AMRAP workout and see what you can do!

It’s important to understand where you are when putting together a fat burning workout program. While they may do ridiculous things on The Biggest Loser, trying to do plyometrics and explosive exercises like tuck jumps and burpees when you are out of shape and 50 pounds over weight is just absurd! Don’t do it!
